About the author (2008)

I taught a class called The Shift for many years where I practiced, tried out and made use of these concepts and principles with the students in the class. In addition, for over 30 years I have applied them to my own life in a variety of jobs and activities from chorography, teaching dance and as a Vice President of Investments and Certified Financial Planner at a major brokerage house. I have also practiced and applied them in my relationships as a wife, mother, sister. daughter, grandmother and friend. All of these practical examples can be found in the book. (Online bio: http:/www.spiritualperception.com/becasbio.html) I grew up in State College PA (Penn State University - Dad was a teacher and Dean) At 22 I moved to Southern California and spent the next 32 years alternating between Los Angeles, CA (Downtown area most recently) and San Diego,CA (Carlsbad area most recently). The last two years we have been traveling - no hometown - but are making plans to settle down in the Asheville, NC area soon.
