Love to be of value must be known by its outcome and evidenced by what it produces. The Covenant of Love and The House That Love Built is a profound yet straightforward exploration of the rebuilding of man's spiritual house and the similarities and differences in the rebuilding of our natural house. "Building" implies a variety of opportunities for participation and is a description of God's love at work within us - God invests his love in us in order that we can experience all that He is as One who loves us, not as one who functions as a puppeteer who jerks us from place to place, expecting us to put on a good show to make him look good. Participation in His Presence, not puppetry is the essence of experiencing God in our lives in the "here and now." Edna Howard is a retired Professor from Houghton College who lives with her husband, Dale, in their "House That Love Built" in southwestern New York. She is the mother of six sons, four of whom are in the Ministry and two who are in Education. Having her PhD from the University of Alabama, Edna has been in education as an elementary and high school teacher, an administrator in both elementary and high school, as well as Chair of the Education Department at Houghton College. Since her retirement from Houghton, she has been a Consultant, working for the New York State Education Department. She has presented at a variety of retreats and workshops.
