Couldn't agree more with a previous reviewer's comment. Many of the "answers" in the Reading Diagnostic Section are very confusing and obviously incorrect. Very concerning. Especially with the questions that deal with parallel structure.

This book is not very helpful. Some of the "answers" to the practice tests seem suspect at best, especially in the reading sections. In these sections I have found at least two questions that have "answers" concerning the same passage that are completely contradictory to one another. There have also been some answers that I don't agree with, but could possibly be considered "correct" depending on the reader's interpretation of the passage. I have also seen another review online stating that at least one answer to one of the math questions was clearly wrong. This book is good only for getting the reader to think critically about every question and answer, as one doesn't know whether the question has been written correctly and one can never be sure that the given answer is actually correct. I hope the actual Praxis exam doesn't have questions and answers that are this ambiguous.

Laurie Rozakis, Ph.D., is a full professor of English at Farmingdale State College in New York and winner of the Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence. She is the author of many test-prep guides and is often interviewed on test-prep topics on network television.
