THIRTY-SECOND ANNUAL REPORT

Governor of Wisconsin.

Sir: In compliance with law I am herewith transmitting to you the Thirty-second Annual Report of the State Banking Department which is a complete Abstract of the institutions under the supervision of the Commissioner of Banking as shown at the close of business December 31, 1926.

On this date the number of financial institutions under the supervision of this Department was 999 having resources of $799,918,187.25. The figures submitted in the Thirty-first Annual Report for the year ending December 31, 1925 showed resources of $736,232,073.20. This shows a gain during the year of 1926 of $63,686,114.05. The resources of the institutions under the supervision of this Department are classified as follows:

In addition, this Department examines 26 Foreign Exchange Companies, the State Teachers' Retirement Fund and the City of Milwaukee Amortization Fund.

During the year of 1926 ten banks were either taken over by this Department or surrendered to it, two of which
