Chap. 1.

AN ACT in relation to elections, election districts and inspectors of election in the town of Geddes, Onondaga county.

PASSED January 25, 1887; three-fifths being present.

The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. All that portion of the town of Geddes, Onondaga county: Election which is not embraced in the provisions of chapter three hundred and district ninety-seven of the laws of eighteen hundred and eighty-six, entitled "An act changing the eastern boundary line of the town of Geddes, annexing certain territory to the city of Syracuse, and providing for the government thereof," is hereby consolidated into and shall constitute one election district.

and their three inspectors of election, whose duty it shall be to provide for, and to make a registry of, the electors of said town, in the manner and at the times as now provided by law for such purposes in towns adjoining cities, and to open and hold election for all officers which are to be voted for by the electors of said town on the third Tuesday of February, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, including such as may be required to be voted for by reason of any vacancy of office which may be occasioned by operation of said chapter three hundred and ninety-seven of the laws of eighteen hundred and eighty-six, and to receive, count, canvass and make return of such votes, in the manner provided by law, in all respects as if said inspecters of election had been elected for such purpose by the electors of said town.

§3. The offices of all town officers of said town of Geddes who now reside, or who, on Monday preceding the third Tuesday of February, clared va eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, shall reside in that portion of the old town of Geddes which, by the provisions of said chapter three hundred and ninety-seven of the laws of eighteen hundred and eightysix is annexed to the city of Syracuse, are hereby declared to be vacant from and after the said Monday preceding the third Tuesday of February, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven. § 4. This act shall take effect immediately.

Chap. 2.

AN ACT to amend chapter one hundred and sixty-three of the laws of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, entitled "An act to organize and establish a police for the city of Yonkers," as amended by chapter four hundred and fortyone of the laws of eighteen hundred and eighty, and as further amended by chapter two hundred and twenty-five of the laws of eighteen hundred and eighty-four.

PASSED January 26, 1887; three-fifths being present. The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Section twenty-one of chapter one hundred and sixtythree of the laws of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, entitled "An act to organize and establish a police for the city of Yonkers," as amended by chapter four hundred and forty-one of the laws of eighteen hundred and eighty, and as amended by chapter two hundred and twenty-five of the laws of eighteen hundred and eighty-four, is hereby further amended so as to read as follows:

§ 21. Within ten days after the passage of this act the board of police shall pay into the city treasury all moneys in its hands belonging to said board or to the city of Yonkers, and the said board of police shall, on the last day of each month, pay into the city treasury any and all moneys belonging to the said board of police, or to the city of Yonkers, received or collected by them during said month, which moneys, together with the moneys hereafter raised by taxation for police purposes, and all moneys in the city treasury heretofore so raised for such purposes, shall be placed to the credit of the police fund.
