Judge Hammond having resigned, Judge Clarke was appointed to fill the vacancy. He qualified November 30, 1885. †Judge Stewart having resigned. Judge Boynton was appointed to fill the vacancy. He qualified January 1, 1883.

Judge Dorsey having resigned, Judge Clarke was appointed to fill the vacancy. He qualified December 26. 1884. Judge Clarke having been appointed to the Superior Court Bench, Judge Van Epps was appointed to succeed him, and qualified November 30, 1885.

NOTE.

By the Act of 1866 (section 4270 of the Code), the decisions of the Supreme Court are required to be announced by written synopses of the points decided. The decisions thus announced are published as the opinions of the Justices delivering them, the head-notes generally being made by the Reporter. Where head-notes are made by the Court, it is so stated.
