Elections The following municipalities have filed in the office of the Secretary of State statements of the results of elections held as provided in chapter 22, Laws of 1915: At a special election held in the township of Piscataway, April 6, 1926, “An Act to incorporate the borough of South Plainfield in the county of Middlesex," was adopted. Filed October 6, 1927. At a special election held in the borough of Belmar on October 25, 1927, the commission form of government was adopted. Filed October 28, 1927. An ordinance annexing land in the township of Princeton, Mercer county, to the borough of Princeton, was adopted by the borough council of Princeton, January 4, 1928. Filed January 9, 1928. At a special election held in the city of Trenton, June 20, 1911, the commission form of government was adopted. Filed April 17, 1928. At an election held on November 4, 1919, in the city of Trenton, "An Act authorizing cities to lay out and open highways over and along non-navigable natural streams, etc.," was adopted. Filed April 17, 1928. At a special election held in the township of Hanover, county of Morris, May 9, 1928, "An Act to incorporate the township of East Hanover, in the county of Morris," was adopted. Filed June 13, 1928. At a special election held in the township of Hanover, county of Morris, "An Act to incorporate the township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, in the county of Morris," was adopted.
