CHAPTER 19

An Act to amend The Timber Taxation Act.

[Assented to February 9, 1922.]

IS Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts

as follows:

1. Section 7 of The Timber Taxation Act is amended by inserting after the figures "27" in the second line the figures "32."

2. The said amendment shall apply retrospectively as of and from the tenth day of November, 1920.

CHAPTER 20

An Act to amend The Wild Lands Tax Act.

[Assented to February 9, 1922.]

IS Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

1. The Wild Lands Tax Act is amended in the manner Rev. Stat. hereinafter set forth.

Notwithstanding anything in section 23 Provincial Treasurer may require a municipality to de- special account posit moneys collected in respect of the wild lands tax in a chartered bank to the credit of the Provincial Treasurer in an account to be called "The Provincial Treasurer's Trust Account' and may prescribe the times when such deposits shall be made, and the Provincial Treasurer shall in such case allow the municipality the remuneration mentioned in section 23, such remuneration to be computed and paid quarterly.

"236. On or before the tenth day of each month Monthly every municipality to which section 23a applies shall, if so required by the Provincial Treasurer, forward to that minister a statement showing all collections made during the preceding month."

6. Section 26 is repealed and the following substituted New section 26 therefor:

"26. In the event of a municipality neglecting or Penalty for refusing to:

"(a) keep a separate and accurate account of all moneys received by it, as required by section 21;

neglect or refusal

"(b) forward moneys collected to the Provincial Treasurer as provided by section 23;

"(c) deposit moneys collected as provided by section 23a, when so required by the Provincial Treasurer; or

"(d) transmit to the Provincial Treasurer any report, statement or account on or before the day appointed for the transmission thereof;

such municipality shall be liable for every such neglect or refusal to a penalty of $1 for every day during which the default continues. Such penalty may be deducted from any remuneration that may be due to the municipality under section 23 or section 23a."

7. This Act shall come into force on the first [day of March, 1922.

CHAPTER 21

An Act to amend The Liquor Exporters Tax

IS Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts

as follows:

1. Section 3 of The Liquor Exporters Taxation Act is Rev. Stat. c. 35, amended by substituting the expression "$5.000" for 3, amended "$1,000" in the eighth line.

CHAPTER 22

An Act to amend The Court of Appeal Act.

[Assented to February 9, 1922.]

IS Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

1. The Court of Appeal Act is amended in the manner hereinafter set forth.

2. Subsection (1) of section 3 is amended by substituting the word "four" for "three" in the fourth line.

"9. Sittings of the court shall be held at such times as may be fixed from time to time by the court, provided that not less than four sittings shall be held in each year."

4. Sections 10, 11 and 12 are hereby repealed.
